In short, we design products we trust and use ourselves, first and foremost.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor years, I have carried the SEAF Jr, a US-made fixed blade from Wolf Forty Designs, a brand founded by an anonymous former Navy SEAL (aka Wolf Forty). The design earned its place as a part of my EDC, which led to our first collaborative W.O.E. version. After carrying that knife, we went back to Wolf Forty with a list of refinements. The 2.0 is the result.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe W.O.E. x Wolf Forty Designs SEAF Jr 2.0\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMeasuring 7.3 inches (18.5 CM) overall with a 3.3-inch (8.4 CM) blade, the 2.0 keeps the established SEAF Jr profile and upgrades nearly everything else. The blade is now CPM 3V, a tool steel renowned for its toughness and resistance to chipping under hard use, heat treated to 60 HRC for lasting edge retention. Where MagnaCut prioritizes corrosion resistance, 3V prioritizes toughness, and to make up the difference, the blade is finished in Black Nitride, a surface treatment that cuts down on corrosion and wear. This is the combination most often requested from Wolf Forty for knives built for elite units.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe G10 scales have been upgraded with a new micro texture that works equally well with or without gloves. Red liners sits beneath the black scales. We increased the chamfer around the grip to cut down on hot spots and expose the pommel jimping, giving you a more secure purchase in any grip.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe red is a subtle nod to W.O.E. While mostly covered up when in the sheath, it is a functional addition for locating your blade in low-light situations or when you set it down in the bush.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 2.0 comes with a single deep carry Kydex sheath featuring a gold topographic map of Iran, marking the CIA outpost where the grandfather of Wolf Forty's founder once worked. An upgraded retention feature between the scales and the sheath makes for a stronger, more robust overall system. For low-profile IWB carry, it is a game-changer. With a special clip designed to grip fabric, the sheath also allows the blade to be carried in a pocket.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA W.O.E. Spearhead is engraved on one side of the blade with Wolf Forty's logo on the other. Subtle is just the way we like it. Each knife includes a new challenge coin in Arabic, with the \"2\" (۲ - اثنان) in red to denote our second collaboration. (Yes, we know they speak Farsi in Iran. The Arabic on the coin is ours.
