W.O.E. YouTube: Marathon - A Military Watch Brand You Need to Know

Whether we like it or not, times have changed. Despite the importance of analog mechanical timepieces in military history, most modern military-issued watches are relatively inexpensive digital models from brands like Casio, Suunto, and Garmin. However, there are exceptions, and for the US and Canadian militaries, a Canadian brand called Marathon continues to produce purpose-built dive, aviation, and field watches issued to and used as tools by special operations and conventional forces.

In our new video on the W.O.E. YouTube Channel, we’ll shine a well-deserved light on Marathon, a brand with over 85 years of military history that still produces issued watches for Naval Special Warfare, Army Special Forces, and Air Force PJs today.
