Revealing Watchmakers with Close Ties to the W.O.E. Community
From Tudor Submariners worn in the jungles of Vietnam to Casio G-Shocks and Seikos used as tools in the Global War on Terror and beyond, certain watch brands have stronger connections to the military than others. In this new video on the W.O.E. YouTube Channel, we reveal ten watchmakers with close ties to the W.O.E. community, highlighting some of the biggest names in the business as well as a few smaller brands you need to know.

There’s a British TV show called ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins.’ It emulates elements of the SAS selection process. The recruits are either ordinary people or celebrities, and the instructors are former members of the SAS or the U.S. Navy SEALs.
The watches I’ve seen on the show are:
Recruits have worn either a Casio F91W or a G-Shock DW5600.
Among the staff:
Former SAS Mark Billingham has worn an Omega Planet Ocean.
Former U.S. Marine Rudy Reyes has worn a G-Shock.
Former SBS Jason Fox has worn a Resco Instruments watch.
Former SAS Anthony “Staz” Stazicker has worn an Elliot Brown Holton.
Former U.S. Navy SEAL commander Jocko Willink wearing an old Timex Ironman, which has become part of his personality, has far more credibility than any fanboy wearing a watch with the SEALs’ logo. Military fanboys make me laugh.
Forget about the hype, the Casio W59 is all you need.
The price is also friendly to your wallet, which is important, especially today with prices skyrocketing.
